When the COVID-19 pandemic prevented NSPCC from hosting in person events for the 2020/21 season they had to quickly come up with alternative ways to raise income and keep audiences engaged with their cause.

Their main objective was to raise funds and engage audiences by hosting a series of virtual events and they needed to rely fully on technology to maintain engagement with the audience. They also needed to deliver these virtual events with significantly reduced budgets to preserve income for much-needed services.

With the use of technology, they delivered four virtual events raising £184,000 for the charity, engaging new audiences and maintaining engagement from existing supporters. They communicated the need of the charity through films, interactive chat features and utilised social media to spread reach.
