In 2020, due to restrictions, the team were unable to host their annual fundraising gala, Global’s Make Some Noise Night. This is their biggest event every year, raising almost a quarter of the charity’s income and is their best opportunity to engage with partners and supporters.

Their main objective for the events was to create a tangible product to sell to supporting organisations whose Christmas parties were likely cancelled due to the pandemic, with the ultimate goal being to raise funds for the charity.

Their virtual Christmas parties had an incredible amount of interest from external clients from the get-go. Within a week, they had successfully sold all six virtual party packages to one corporate partner, creating an income for Global’s Make Some Noise and accomplishing their objective of the events.

Overall, the virtual Christmas parties were incredibly successful as not only did they raise more than they had targeted for Global’s Make Some Noise, but they also spread festive cheer to attendees and created a tangible way to engage with corporate supporters. In a time when no-one was feeling very cheerful, they managed to put a smile on the faces of those hit hardest by coronavirus – something we are incredibly proud of.
