JUDGES COMMENTS
Whilst the competition for the winner of the Best Leadership Event was stiff and the entries engendered much debate and discussion ultimately there was a unanimous decision on the winning entry. We are delighted to announce that the winning submission is the Co-op’s Leadership Engagement Session. The judges were very impressed with the responses to each of the questions and felt that the clarity of the objectives for the event and how the Co-op were clearly able to demonstrate the return on them stood out. It was particularly encouraging to see that the success of the initial event in January has led to a leadership event programme for the remainder of the year. Primarily driven by feedback and demand from the Co-op leaders. Thorough planning was evident with ’on the day’ challenges being resolved quickly without any impact on the audience or the event. They also demonstrated a true ‘listening’ culture ensuring the maximum inclusion of all leaders adapting and adjusting the event to gain maximum engagement. As they put in their submission ‘this pattern of remind, inform, engage, develop and honesty has managed to effectively build our leadership communication and protect it for the future, keeping them all on the same page and on the same track.’
