Justine Kane – A highly experienced event trainer with 20 years’ experience and thousands of connections in the events industry. She was the winner of the IEAM ‘2014 Outstanding Contribution to the Entertainment & Arts Industry awards, was selected to be a mentor for three years on the Fast Forward 15 mentoring program for women, and currently on the Event Management Apprenticeship Board, focusing on Diversity & Inclusion in the Events Industry. Justine also sat on the committee for the In-house Corporate Event Awards.
After presenting internationally and nationally on the subject of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Justine has been pursuing her interest in this field and, among other things, has been supporting some consultancy projects with Give To Get (who collaborate with the United Nations and clients include: Apple, Coca-Cola, Amex, etc).
As Co-founder and Managing Director, she successfully launched The Event Talent Agency in January 18 and loved using her passion of connecting her event industry networks with high-quality event talent.
Justine Co-founded Event Academy in 2011 (CIM Accredited) and spent 8 years as Director + Course Director from Postgraduate to Foundation level courses. 5yrs prior to that was spent with the international Event Management Training Institute. In addition to the strategic development of courses and lecturing she developed students’ individual skills and soft skills as they prepare for either their work placement or the job market. Much of her time was spent building relationships within the industry to place students in solid work placements, appointing 1000’s of graduates into roles and tutoring them through to successful qualification.
Justine has also worked with some of the UK’s largest companies and charities to plan and deliver first class events and live experiences. Clients and employers have included WWF-UK, Haagen Dazs, Mars, AXA etc.
She has a BSc degree in Psychology at St Mary’s Honours College, Maryland, USA and has a particular interest in Mindfulness, NLP, Personality Profiling, Diversity + Inclusion and has completed a number of related courses in these field.
Justine lives in the South of England with her husband and two boys. Justine loves to entertain, walk her dog in the countryside and has a passion for tennis which compliments her joy of good food!
