FAQs
Entering the ICEAWARDS is free for all corporate event planners and you are entitled to four free seats at the awards ceremony where you can network with other planners from different industries.
WHAT IS ICEAWARDS?
ICEAWARDS is the awards ceremony that celebrates and recognises the achievements of in-house corporate planners. ICEAWARDS UK will take place on 13th July 2023. The second ICEAWARDS Germany will take place on 6th July and you can keep up to date by visiting our website.
WHO SHOULD ENTER?
Corporate event planners or marketing teams who spend at least 70% of their day-to-day job role delivering, marketing and fulfilling a company’s events. No matter the size of your team, whether it is a large or a small organisation, you have an equal chance of winning.
WHO CANNOT ENTER?
We accept entries from any corporate event planner. However, if you are an Agency or a Supplier you must enter on behalf of your client. If the entry is for the Agency or Supplier themselves this will be excluded. Entries made on behalf of a client must have the client attending on the night with the Agency or Supplier that entered them.
HOW MANY EVENTS CAN BE ENTERED?
As many as you want! There is no limit on how many events or categories can be entered.
If you believe your event is suitable for multiple categories, you are most welcome to enter your event into more than 1 category. However, please do remember it’s important for you to tailor your answer to address the category you are entering for the best chance of winning.
WHICH INDUSTRY SECTORS CAN ENTER?
All sectors are welcome in the ICEAWARDS.
IS THIS FOR UK COMPANIES ONLY?
No, this is an International Awards ceremony and we welcome entries from across the globe! In fact, in previous years, we have had entries from UK, Germany, France, USA, Canada and Singapore!
CAN I ATTEND ON THE NIGHT?
Attendance on the night is by confirmation of places and will not be open to individuals who have not confirmed their place. FOUR complimentary places are given per organisation ONLY, entered regardless of the number of the organisation’s events entered to the awards. These places are hosted by our Sponsors and Partners.
If you do require any additional places, these can be purchased at a cost of £200 + VAT per individual to a maximum of 10 places.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Nothing! It is free of charge to enter your events.
WILL ANY FINANCIAL INFORMATION NEED TO BE DISCLOSED?
Financial figures are NOT required. The event may have a budget of £50k or £1 million and the award is judged on whether it has met its objective. So ‘Glam’ is not essential. Read our A – Z Guide for useful tips on presenting financials and other useful information.
IS THERE ANY HELP OR GUIDANCE OFFERED?
Yes, we want this process to be FUN not daunting and therefore, we have a dedicated Corporate Support team who can assist as well as our Judges. Both are more than happy to offer help and guidance.
We also offer free ‘How to Enter’ workshops in various locations. At these workshops, one or two judges attend alongside previous winners who both give invaluable advice on your submission. You can find details of our next How to Enter Workshop on our Events page. Please also have a read of our case studies here which gives insight into different types of entries across all categories.
WHO ARE THE JUDGES?
Our leading panel of judges are industry professionals who have in-depth experience in running events.
The judges are independent and not linked to any of the entrants. We also ensure that they all sign Non-Disclosure Agreements so no information is disclosed to any third party whatsoever. For more information on our current judges, please click here.
WHAT IS THE JUDGING PROCESS?
Following the deadline, the judges are sent login details where they can view your submitted entries including any supporting documents which have been supplied. The judges are asked to score each question on a scale of 1 – 5 (1 being poor 5 being excellent).
After the individual scoring, the judges meet via telephone call to discuss the entries which is when we let them know which entry scored the most. The judges discuss the entries that are in the top 3 and 1st, 2nd and 3rd places are then agreed. The judges are looking to see if the event objectives were met and how you have answered the questions clearly to demonstrate the event’s fulfillment of the criteria.
This final decision is not announced until the night.
