Peak is Dixons Carphone’s annual conference that until 2020 was a live event held at a large UK Conference centre for up to 1600 colleagues, aimed at bringing to life key business priorities and strategies at the start of the peak trading period, and providing opportunities to engage in networking sessions and connect with suppliers and their new products via the vast supplier expo. 

Not being physically constrained allowed the team to provide the same level of access, opportunity and event experience to all colleagues – there was a 310% increase in attendance this year, and all 6,000 people who attended experienced the same version of the event compared to the 1,600 who usually attend live, and everyone else having to experience the more limited on-demand version. 

Virtual Peak 2020 allowed the team to create the most ambitious, content-rich event that they had ever produced. Their bespoke interactive 3D virtual conference and exhibition space enabled colleagues to interact with and learn from over 40 exhibitors with takeaway downloadable assets, participate in live presentations with two-way interactivity, and navigate through self-discovery zones and awards areas which contained 1000s of individual assets, over 20 hours of content related to Dixons Carphone’s strategic priorities and user-generated content celebrating colleague achievements.
