Day Lewis is one of the UK’s largest independent pharmacy groups. Each year they host an annual Conference & Awards Celebration in London for 1200 of their employees, suppliers and partners.
As a retail pharmacy, they are fundamentally a face-face-business and this event has never before been done in a virtual format. The decision to pivot to virtual was deliberated by stakeholders who were sceptical about how their highly successful live event would translate to online.
To create their event Principal suggested moving away from the standard studio setting, instead proposing a local theatre to allow them to completely change the environment from day to night.
Principal brought their Pharmacy Heroes theme to life, putting it at the heart of compelling content design. Carefully balancing formal, fun and serious messaging, Principal ensured it flowed seamlessly.
Pivoting was the best decision Day Lewis could have taken. Delivering a live event of this size for 11 years and constantly raising the bar meant their virtual experience had to be equally creative and engaging. Throughout, it was evident everyone was extremely proud to work for Day Lewis, leaving the event feeling inspired and refreshed to continue to serve their communities. The event created a complete sense of togetherness across the business. They believe that together with their agency they truly created an outstanding pharmacy event that successfully pivoted from live to virtual, with incredible feedback far exceeding expectations.
